Rachel Kupec joined GHLA in 2023 and practices in their housing unit representing low-income tenants in eviction cases. She graduated with honors from the UConn School of Law where she was Vice President of the Family Law Society and Note & Comment Editor of the CT Journal of International Law. During law school, she worked with survivors of domestic violence at a legal aid organization in Portland, Maine. Ms. Kupec received her B.A. in Political Science & Sociology from UConn.

Maximizing the Value of Medicare

This presentation will review how beneficiaries can get the most out of their Medicare by understanding what Medicare should cover and by debunking common misunderstandings surrounding Medicare coverage rules. Areas of Medicare coverage discussed will include skilled nursing, home health, outpatient therapy, and more. Attendees will learn strategies to spot inappropriate denials of coverage and how to address them.
